It contains many features that a typical rental company in the event sector needs for it's day-to-day operations. It is has some nice simple features, however it lacks the functionality of many of the other systems and seems like it is at it's end of life.

Flex have been promising an HTML5 version for many years now (since 2018), however other HTML5 apps are already available, meaning Flex will always be playing catch-up.
Flex have released Flex5, their HTML5 version that works without the now obsolete Flash, however it is incomplete and not very functional, thus Flex5 didn't make this list, as to do some things, you have to go back and use the Flash version.

It too is relatively new, but is very expensive for what it is compared to what others have on offer, as better software than this is far cheaper and far better. We also felt it was too incomplete and geared towards the micro company mobile DJ market.

However it is quite basic and lacks many of the features that all the other Rental Equipment Software have. It has different prices for different versions, however the cheaper version is quite limited in functionality.

It has a few features but is very expensive for what it is as for some strange reason you need to pay them a huge installation fee and then a subscription every year, even though it is hosted and maintained by you. We also found their support was lacking behind others. It is another old legacy Windows based rental inventory management system, however due to it's high price, high setup costs, we and lack of features compared to others, we downgraded it.
Insphire have released a very limited and expensive cloud software called On-Rent, but it has hardly any features, only has online support and is very expensive for a very basic system.
Concerning us is that Insphire are now insisting users sign upto a 3 year contract to lock them in. Why would this be necessary, unless it is to stop users leaving when they want to and lock them into an agreement they don't want to be a part of? We also do not like how once you stop paying for support, they disable remotely disable the software, even after you paid for it. In our opinion, practices like these are something only a dishonest company would do.

#10 of Best Rental Equipment Software in 2024 - Current is another cloud based system that looks very slick and pretty, however it lacks most of the features that all the other Rental Equipment Software packages have and was not as intuitive and easy to use. It has added a few new features over the years, but not at the pace of some of the others, so it is falling further behind. It is quite reasonably priced, and we feel is suited for small one man operations.
