It contains many features that a typical rental company in the event sector needs for it's day-to-day operations. It is has some nice simple features, however it lacks the functionality of many of the other systems and seems like it is at it's end of life.

#3 of Best Rental Equipment Software in 2024 - Flex is another cloud based solution, however it requires the now obsolete Flash to be installed, so it causes problems for devices like iPads or iPhones, and as Chrome and many other browsers do not support Flash, we had to grade this accordingly. Flex have been promising an HTML5 version for many years now (since 2018), however other HTML5 apps are already available, meaning Flex will always be playing catch-up.
Flex have released Flex5, their HTML5 version that works without the now obsolete Flash, however it is incomplete and not very functional, thus Flex5 didn't make this list, as to do some things, you have to go back and use the Flash version.

It too is relatively new, but is very expensive for what it is compared to what others have on offer, as better software than this is far cheaper and far better. We also felt it was too incomplete and geared towards the micro company mobile DJ market.

However it is quite basic and lacks many of the features that all the other Rental Equipment Software have. It has different prices for different versions, however the cheaper version is quite limited in functionality.

#6 of Best Rental Equipment Software in 2024 - Current is another cloud based system that looks very slick and pretty, however it lacks most of the features that all the other Rental Equipment Software packages have and was not as intuitive and easy to use. It has added a few new features over the years, but not at the pace of some of the others, so it is falling further behind. It is quite reasonably priced, and we feel is suited for small one man operations.

Upon testing we saw it didn't do much, has hardly any features, only has online support and is very expensive for what little it has to offer. You also have to pay extra to have customisable documents, something every other cloud offering includes for free, and ontop of that you have to pay OnRent to a large fee to make them. The only reason anybody would pay for this or use it over the others, is that they don't know about the other cloud offerings, many of which are far supperior and far cheaper. As it is new, maybe it will get better, however it has been in development for years, thus they are far behind others.
